I’ve finally put together this a case study for the Lady Emma, a yacht share which was sold last summer through yours2share.

I’d forgotten how much work is required to create a single case study. Quite rightly you have to interview the people involved by phone, draft the words and get the agreement of the people involved. But this can take a while. It shouldn’t take several months though – that’s my fault!
What was lovely about this yacht share was that Nick rang me to ask how much he owed me in commission! Which was very decent of him. Understandably he was pleased when I said there wan’t any.
However this leads to into another question that I’m asked all the time “How do you make any money?” Well I don’t make much at the moment, but for now I want to keep yours2share free to use, particularly for private individuals. (Agents selling three or more shares do pay a modest fee for packages that allow them to post ten or twenty ads.) I’m gambling that if I can make the site attractive and gain sufficient visitors, then I can earn a good living from the banner advertising around the site and on newsletters, from the legal documents and other affiliate sales. But first I’ve got to propagate the idea that sharing valuable items with other private individuals can work, provided you take a little care.
