I’ve found some excellent green car related websites in the last couple of days and thought I’d share these with you – being a sharing kind of person! There is WhatGreenCar and the link here is to the page about car clubs, very close to yours2share‘s heart. And then the similarly named but different TheGreenCarWebsite. Finally the [...] yours2share has a new category: landshare. This category is for people who want to share land for vegetable plots, gardens, horses and livestock. You may have land that you are willing to allow other people to use; or want a piece of land that you can use to grow vegetables or use for livestock. There [...] This article in today’s Independent caught my eye. I knew car clubs were one of the credit crunch winners and Hertz have obviously decided to join them. There are also some interesting stats about Streetcar and City Car Club: I didn’t know that Streetcar has several vans as part of the club network. Streetcar have many [...] I’ve found a rather unusual car club called Commonwheels. It has cars in several locations: Reading, High Wycombe, Poole, Portsmouth and (soon) Oxford. When I first found the website, I was surprised as these aren’t the large cities that are the normal locations for car clubs. I’ve since found out that they are car clubs [...] Someone recently posted an ad on yours2share which I’ve reluctantly decided I have to remove because it isn’t really about sharing an asset, or sharing the cost of anything. But it did make me think hard about the boundaries of yours2share. The ad read: I am the catalyst for a new group, the South Norfolk Writers’ Circle. [...] I’ve added a new page to yours2share explaining the various types of car clubs and all the associated terminology: fractional ownership, joint ownership, shared ownership, car share, liftshare etc etc. I’m glad that the major managed car clubs such as City Car Club are starting to become more mainstream. But I’m keen to ensure people [...] I read lots of newsletters as I look for what is good and bad to develop yours2share‘s monthly email. In the latest of one of my favourites from Sticky Stapeton, who runs Arrow Yacht Enterprises Sailing School, there was a good opportunity for anyone who wishes to complete their Yachtmaster Ocean practical 600 mile passage [...] yours2share had a mention in last Friday’s Daily Mail in a piece about people who spend long periods living at their second homes.
