Whenever I’ve spoken to the Financial Times, or other publications aimed at people earning higher salaries, about yours2share and sharing in general, I’ve tended to get a fairly sniffy response. Either they think their readers would only consider buying outright, or they immediately mentally file all sharing as timeshare. So I was surprised to see this [...] When I started yours2share, I didn’t realise that I was starting a social enterprise, I just wanted to help people share stuff. As the number of private syndicates that were helped by yours2share increased, I also became aware that if as the number of partners in a private syndicates increases substantially, it becomes a [...] Do you share a house, car, motorhome, boat, aircraft dog, horse or anything else? I’m always looking for examples of sharing in action to blog about on yours2share and, if they are really good and two or more partners are willing to be interviewed, for case studies. If you are happy to tell me about [...] I’ve written before about Sticky Stapleton’s newsletter, he runs sailing courses down on the south coast. However the course offered in the latest edition amused me, particularly the “we will then all watch the forecasts for worsening weather” bit. The Prince Madoc, a 65 foot stays’l schooner, is being lovingly restored by Dave Denning down in Cardiff, Wales. It is the wonderful tale of 13 women who bought a beautiful diamond necklace together in the US. I have been reminded of the story because a book has just been released about the women and [...] I read lots of newsletters as I look for what is good and bad to develop yours2share’s monthly email. In the latest of one of my favourites from Sticky Stapeton, who runs Arrow Yacht Enterprises Sailing School, there was a good opportunity for anyone who wishes to complete their Yachtmaster Ocean practical 600 mile passage [...] yours2share had a mention in last Friday’s Daily Mail in a piece about people who spend long periods living at their second homes. Eleanor Tim’s “second home” is a catamaran that she is renovating, before sailing it down to the Cape Verde Islands, where it will be based. She’s also looking for someone to share [...] |
