I came across this interesting website earlier this week- Inspired Times. (Inspired name too.) It seems to accord with many of yours2share‘s objectives and more besides. It started so well here in yours2share mansions, with the mention in the Sunday Times and a great new case study (not quite ready yet, but I’ll probably be posting it next week). However on Tuesday afternoon, in the middle of a Skype call to a poor unsuspecting yours2share member, [...] I use Constant Contact (and they’re great) to handle all yours2share‘s newsletters and I’ve just found some pleasing information. They have a section detailing the aggregated response rates for the vast numbers of newsletters they send out and yours2share’s compares really favourably with them on every count. Overall yours2share is currently averaging a 33% open rate, [...] I’ve just been told that yours2share has been selected as one of the Top 100 businesses going forward to the next stage of the Barclays Trading Places awards. I am naturally delighted, having overcome my intial thoughts ” did only 101 apply” and “could only 100 understand the exam questions”. The entry will go before the [...] A couple of weeks ago I went along to a filming day held by StreamExchange and made a short three minute video about yours2share. Once I’d recovered from the shock of seeing myself talk, I’m was pleased with the results. The interviewer was Caroline Oldrey, who was until recently a news reporter with ITV Anglia, [...] Sophie Garrett – founder yours2share Many thanks to Enterprising Women, who have just made me Woman of the Week. Enterprising Women is a great resource for female business owners in the East of England and it is now spreading out across the country. As well as a comprehensive directory, the events section is useful. I’m [...] After explaining what yours2share is all about to someone today, they exclaimed, “a marriage bureau for assets”, and I thought this was rather delicious. I’ve spent ridiculous amounts of time on the so-called elevator pitch and this seemed to reduce it to just four words. OK, I then have to add a fair bit of [...] I read lots of newsletters as I look for what is good and bad to develop yours2share‘s monthly email. In the latest of one of my favourites from Sticky Stapeton, who runs Arrow Yacht Enterprises Sailing School, there was a good opportunity for anyone who wishes to complete their Yachtmaster Ocean practical 600 mile passage [...] yours2share had a mention in last Friday’s Daily Mail in a piece about people who spend long periods living at their second homes. Eleanor Tim’s “second home” is a catamaran that she is renovating, before sailing it down to the Cape Verde Islands, where it will be based. She’s also looking for someone to share [...] |
