Wants to share Boats - sailI am building an Alan Pape designed, Stays'l schooner. Steel,round bilge, teak laid decks. Sitka Spruce hollow wooden masts. It is being built to MCA rules for ocean passages and overseen by an authorised ship surveyor.
The interior will be teak throughout with Maple flooring. The layout includes two en-suite double cabins, forepeak two single berths and an aft cabin for the crew. A large main saloon and a galley. The instrumentation will be more than adequate.
There is air-conditioning, central heating,water makers, a dive compressor, 12 kw generator and 6cyl Ford main engine.

I have been building for 10 years now - the first 6 years part time,
Originally intended for a relaxing retirement, chartering occasionally to cover costs, my huge investment both in time and money and the need for further investment to complete the project to the finish it deserves means that it must now be turned around with serious chartering business in mind.
Once completed, it is the intention to have the "commissioning cruise" to Southern Ireland and if all goes well make our way to the Med where the crew will develop their skills in navigation and handling the craft, they will then all sit their practical Offshore Yachtmasters certification and at least one an instructors diving license.
From there we will make our way to the Caribbean and make our yacht available for exciting cruises. There are already charter brokers who have agreed to take our craft on their lists and, of course, we will develop our own clients through the boats' website, by then, the website will be turned around to attract charter customers and not just the build process.
After 3 - 5 years of chartering it planned, with that period of a solid portfolio of successful chartering, to obtain a marine mortgage, buy out the investor giving a end good profit together with the percentage of chartering profits.
