Wants to share Boats - inland waterways - fractional ownership & rentSeeking 2 or 3 sharers in project to acquire a barge, approx 20m LOA by 4m, to be based in France and used to explore inland waterways of France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. All costs and work would be shared equally.
Ideally, I would like to start with a new build sailaway, (probably Piper/Branson), fitting out the boat in UK prior to crossing to France. I would however settle for a finished boat, perhaps needing some refurbishment and modernisation.
I am an engineer, with experience of electrical, mechanical, plumbing tasks, and would hope to find others with appropriate skills for the project. I shall be retiring in 2009 and will then be available to spend time on the project.
When the boat is put into use, I am also happy to crew for other syndicate members as required. Boat would be non-smoking environment!
I am based near south coast, but fitting out could be north of London if that suited other sharers.
