yours2share - helping people to realise life-changing ambitions |
| February 2008 |
As people seek ways of working smarter, redressing their work-life balance, reducing travel time, or making time to sail, fly or travel, they often have to overcome hurdles to achieve their life choices. One common hurdle is cost, and sharing can be a great way of reducing costs, particularly with assets that would not be used all of the time. yours2share is a free website for private individuals to buy, sell or rent shares in valuable assets, or create new partnerships or syndicates. The website enables people to see all the options in one place, post free adverts of their own and create bespoke sharing arrangements. yours2share is totally independent. It doesn't sell any of the valuable assets, finance or insurance, so it offers objective advice and ideas. Some diverse examples of people realising life-changing ambitions through yours2share ads include partners being sought to:
yours2share founder Sophie Garrett: "After talking to many yours2share members, I've realised that many people who visit yours2share are looking to change their lives in some way. They've identified what they want to do and if they can't afford to do what they want alone, then they've identified a way forward if they can find a like-minded partner. This is where yours2share can help." |

| Notes to Editors:
Fractional ownership: means that more than one person owns the title of a property or other valuable asset. Unlike timeshare, the owners collectively own the property title rather than just the right to use it. There are many commercial schemes for fractional ownership of property and aircraft, and a few for boats and cars. Most schemes are highly exclusive and, if they offer what the buyer is looking for, they are an ideal way to become a fractional owner. Yet these schemes aren't right for everyone and before the launch of yours2share, there were few options for most potential fractional buyers. Fractional renting: means renting a property or other valuable asset for some of the time on a recurring basis, such as every third weekend or for three months of every year. In the property market, it is growing in popularity for weekday only rentals, and to share second homes. For other assets it means extra income can be earned from infrequently used possessions.
